Liberia’s Permanent Rep. to Int’l Maritime Org. Says Liberia’s Leadership, Dignity Restored…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization, Ambassador Robert Kpadeh, says incredible leadership and dignity have been restored to the Liberian Presidency.

According to Ambassador Kpadeh, responsible leadership and considerable order have been restored to mainstream government under President Joseph Boakai.

He said,” Unlike the past, public officials are fully cognizant of the regimen of accountability that, no matter who they are, will be made to account for their stewardship”.

In a statement issued on Sunday, November 9, 2025, Liberia’s Representative to the IMO stated that President Boakai has so far demonstrated the political will to fight corruption impartially, one of the promises he ran and won the presidency on.

He said,” The government is shifting emphasis on citizens, including healthcare, education, public transportation, and main commodity prices”.

Ambassador Robert Kpadeh also noted that Liberia is once more respected internationally and is claiming its rightful place in the comity of nations.

While there remain challenges that must be addressed, the Liberian diplomat said Liberia is firmly re-projecting and repositioning itself on the global stage, by upholding its international obligations in due payments and respecting international laws and instruments.
