Unidentified Person Allegedly Rapes Two-Year-Old Baby in Grand Cape Mount County

GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-A two-year-old child has been allegedly raped by an unknown individual in Tewer District in Grand Cape Mount County.

The alleged act was discovered by a nurse at the Wawu Health Center when the child was taken there by her mother for treatment.

But in an apparent move to compromise the case, the child’s mother reportedly appealed to the nurse not to inform the police about the situation.

However, the nurse refused and informed ELBC correspondent Jenneh Kemokai, who later informed Police Commander Ibrahim Dolley.

Up to news time, our correspondent said,” The perpetrator of the act is yet to be identified and no arrest has been made”.

Meanwhile, the police have invited the mother and grandmother of the minor for questioning.

The police have also instructed the nurse not to turn the child over to the mother until the investigation is done.
