Liberia’s Executive Branch Requests 2025 Nat’l Budget Submission Extension

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive of the Government of Liberia has written the National Legislature requesting an extension in the submission of the 2026 National Budget.

President Joseph Boakai said,” Consultations have not been concluded for which it was necessary to request an extension of the draft budget submission”.

The Liberian Leader assured the House of Representatives of his commitment to proactively engage with the National Legislature to promulgate laws and policies to advance the well-being of the Liberian people.

President Joseph Boakai noted that the 2026 National Budget is critical to achieving the shared national vision and enhancing national development priorities.

At the same time, President Boakai has made new appointments in the government.
