Former Pres. Weah’s Aide Dismisses Speculations…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Aide to former President George Weah, Sekou Kalasco-Damaro, has dismissed speculations about the health of the former President.

The former President’s health condition gained attention in recent days, following viral online videos suggesting that he was unwell.

But speaking on ELBC “Super Morning Show” on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Paynesville City, Kalasco-Damaro assured the public that the former Liberian Leader is in good health.

He described speculations about the health condition of the President as mere propaganda circulating on social media.

Kalasco-Damaro urged Liberians to disregard the speculations and not be swayed by the unverified information online.

At the same time, the former President’s Aide stated that the Government of the Coalition for Democratic Change’s (CDC) failure to effectively communicate its accomplishments was a primary factor for its electoral defeat in 2023.

Sekou Kalasco-Damaro believes that the CDC-led administration did not market its success stories to the Liberian people.

Reflecting on the tenure of the former President, Kalasco-Damaro discussed former President Weah’s leadership style and decision-making, describing it as a quest for transformative change in Liberia.

Sekou Kalasco-Damaro then suggested that if former President Weah is elected in the 2029 Presidential race, there would be different approaches to his leadership and decision-making processes.
