Ruling Unity Party Lifts Suspension of Seven Top Nat’l Executive Committee Members

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Unity Party (UP) has lifted the suspension of seven top officials of its National Executive Committee with immediate effect.

They are Neto Lighe, Nya Twayen, Magdalene Dagoseh, Dr. Louise Kpoto, Gbeme Horace-Kollie, Jerolinmek Piah, and Dr. Alexander Nuetah.

On September 14, 2025, twenty-eight party officials were suspended for owing party dues.

But, according to a Unity Party release, the officials have complied with the terms of their recent suspension.

It said the one-month disciplinary action, which was paired with a financial penalty of one thousand US Dollars, has been successfully concluded.

The UP maintained that the suspension of the National Executive Committee members was a necessary step to uphold the principles of discipline and collective responsibility.

With the completion of said process by the reinstated members, the Unity Party said that it upheld its internal regulations equally to all, from the grassroots to the highest levels of leadership.
