Gbarpolu County Sup. Cautioned to Resign…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Superintendent of Gbarpolu County has come under pressure to resign or ask for suspension to face investigation of multiple charges.

Superintendent Sam Zinnah was recently indicted for alleged misapplication of county funds in the purchase of three yellow machines.

An eminent citizen and former Representative Candidate of Gbarpolu County, Andrew Fahn, is calling for the immediate suspension of the county Superintendent.

The call, according to Fahn, is to ensure transparency and accountability in the local government structure of the county.

He said,” Superintendent Zinnah was recently indicted by the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC), following alleged misapplication of county funds in the purchase of three yellow machines”.

Fahn said allowing the Superintendent to remain in office during the investigation could undermine public trust and the government’s fight against corruption.

When contacted, Superintendent Sam Zinnah declined to further comment on the matter, stressing that the case is before the court.
