Action for Community Health Launches “Pad for Dignity” for Adolescent Girls in Nimba County

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-A non-governmental organization, Action for Community Health, has launched what it calls ‘Pad for Dignity’ for at least one thousand adolescent girls in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.

According to our Correspondent, the initiative is intended to help school-going girls in Sanniquellie to address menstrual issues during menstruation.

Authorities of Action for Community Health told our correspondent that the organization and partners are currently providing similar assistance in three of Liberia’s fifteen counties.

Our correspondent quotes them as saying the organization is also working out modalities to establish health clubs and teenage pregnancy, among others.

Meanwhile, Action for Community Health has disclosed plans to widen discussions on the importance of menstrual hygiene.
