Liberia’s First Lady in U.S. to Forge Strategic Partnerships…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s First Lady, Kartumu Boakai, is in the United States to forge partnerships for health and development.

According to a release, the mission is centered on high-level advocacy and partnership building to advance Liberia’s Health Sector and improve the well-being of the most vulnerable Liberian citizens.

The First Lady, while in the U.S, is expected to participate in the Global Health Conference and the annual high-level meeting of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development.

The release stated that Madam Boakai will deliver a keynote address during the conference, exploring modern, adaptable solutions for strengthening Liberia’s primary healthcare infrastructure, with a focus on maternal and child health services.

According to the release, the First Lady will participate in a working lunch on Sexual and Reproductive Health, collaborating with her peers to champion a unified approach to continental challenges, including promoting gender equality and advancing girls’ education, among others.
