The contest in the first edition of the off-season Bettomax Champions Cup will be concluded between Bea Mountain and Heaven Eleven this Sunday at the Tusa field.
The two LFA 1st division rivals stood the test of time to reach the final, eliminating other worthy opponents alone the way.
Bea Mountain needed a late goal on Thursday to beat Freeport FC 3-2 to reach the final, while Heaven Eleven ate show on Global Pharma in the first semi final to get to the final.
The Messengers defeated the Pharmacies on penalties 6-5 after their 90-minutes of actions ended 1-1.
Both teams were members of Group A, where Bea Mountain finished as group leaders when they leapfrogged Heaven Eleven at the top on the last day of the group activities, pinning the messengers 2-1.
So, it could be an avenging match for Heaven Eleven or a point to prove for Bea Mountain that they are Seniors to the messengers.
Ahead of that intriguing final, fans of both teams have begun the hypes by throwing jabs at one another.
It’s an interesting final not only for the prize attached, but the pride of both clubs.
The winners on Sunday will eat $10,000USD prize money, while the loser will not go home empty handed as they will collect $5,000USD to console themselves.
The Bettomax Champions Cup is a three-year partnership tournament between the betting company and the LFA.
The two signed a historic Three-Year Partnership for the Bettomax Champions Cup early august.
The top eight teams in the LFA 1st division, except that FC Fassell and LPRC pulled out due to other engagements participated in the tournament.
The betting company said the tournament is aimed at adding the completive spirit in the LFA league, as only teams finishing in the top eight will qualify to participate.
Each of this year’s participants received one thousand united states dollars as preparation fees.
