Deputy Info Minister Sando Warns Media, Clarifies VP Koung’s Absence…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando wants the media to refrain from spreading falsehood about the Liberian Government.

Minister Sando lauded former Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyeneh Yuoh for her stewardship, describing it as a privilege to serve her country.

He clarified the Vice President Jeremiah Koung’s absence from the former Chief Justice’s retirement ceremony was due to official engagements in Accra, Ghana.

At the MICAT Regular Press Briefing on Thursday, August 21,2025, in Monrovia, Minister Sando noted that Vice President Koung represented the country at a State funeral on August 15 at the request of President Joseph Boakai.

He stressed that Vice President Koung has demonstrated immense respect for the Liberian Judiciary.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Daniel Sando cautioned a local daily against practicing “Yellow Journalism’, warning that it undermines the country’s democracy.
