Nat’l Social Security and Welfare Corporation Announces Increase in Lease Paid Pensioners’ Benefits

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASCORP) has announced an increase in the benefits of lease-paid pensioners across the country.

NASSCORP Director General Dewitt VonBallmoos said,” Going forward, the lease paid pensioners will earn fifty US dollars or eight thousand five hundred Liberian dollars.”

Mr. VonBallmoos announced on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at a program marking the 50 Anniversary of NASSCORP held at its Sinkor Headquarters.

The NASSCORP boss spoke of tremendous progress in the institution in the past fifty years, recounting a key achievement as the development of a social security framework that now covers tens of thousands of citizens.

Mr. Dewitt VonBallmoos disclosed that human capacity development is at the core of his management’s long-term vision.

Meanwhile, the former Director General of NASSCORP has stressed the need for the entity to make it livable for inhabitants.

Francis Carbah said, “NASSCORP Corporate Social Responsibility program should be extended to especially the West Point and New Kru Town communities to improve the livelihood of people there.”
