Pres. Boakai Admonishes Pilgrims Returning from Hajj in Mecca

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has admonished pilgrims returning from this year’s Hajj in Mecca to become ambassadors of peace in seeking national healing and reconciliation.

President Boakai also called on them to lead with compassion, while standing against hate and division in their communities and country.

The Liberian Leader was speaking at a special prayer service honoring the return of over five hundred pilgrims from Mecca, after forming part of the 2025 Hajj in Congo Town.

President Boakai wants religious leaders to continuously stand with the government and civil society in fostering unity in addressing social ills and the interests of people.

The Liberian Chief Executive described the gathering as the beginning of national renewal inspired by the values of forgivingness, justice, solidarity, and submission to the will of God.

He then called on citizens to unite in building a Liberia where no one is left behind, and where faith serves as a bridge for growth and prosperity.
