MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai and entourage have paid a visit to the home of former Liberian President William R. Tolbert, ahead of his reburial process.

As part of the official itinerary, President Boakai will lead an array of government officials to sign the Book of Condolence in honor of the former President in Monrovia today, Monday, June 30, 2025.

On Tuesday, July 1, a monument constructed in memory of the late former President will be dedicated at the Baptist Theological Seminary in the presence of the Liberian Leader, family, and church members.

According to the itinerary, a National Healing and Reconciliation program is expected to take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, to climax the reburial processes of the two former Liberian presidents.

These events are part of a series of recommendations proposed by President Joseph Boakai during his second State of the Nation Address earlier this year, which called for a dignified reburial of former leaders.
