Pres. Boakai Signs Book of Condolences…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has signed the Book of Condolence in honour of former President Samuel Kanyon Doe.

The symbolic ceremony is part of a series of events leading to the reburial of the late President and his wife, former First Lady Nancy Doe, in Grand Gedeh County.

Speaking briefly after signing the Book of Condolence in Monrovia on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, President Boakai said:” These events are critical to restoring the lost image and legacy of former leaders.”

The Liberian Leader believes that these ceremonies reflect the true essence of achieving genuine peace and reconciliation.

He called on all citizens to put the country above self-interest and ambitions.

President Boakai was accompanied at the signing ceremony by an array of government officials and members of the National Legislature.
