MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has identified the company that operated in Chio Town, Rivercess County, where a mudslide led to the death of eleven persons.

Minister Paye said:” The investigative team dispatched by the Liberian Government to Rivercess County is back in Monrovia and compiling a comprehensive report on the situation.

The Mines and Energy Minister stated that the report will inform the Liberian Government about legal action if negligence and willful endangerment of human lives are established.

At the same time, a joint rescue team comprising the Ministry of Mines and Energy and relevant disaster agencies has concluded search operations at the Chio mudslide site in Rivercess County.

According to ELBC Rivercess County Correspondent, the team thoroughly searched with an excavator and found no human in the rubbles.

The latest report, according to our Correspondent, will now clear the doubts of residents that there were more victims beneath the soil.
