MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court ‘A’ has sentenced murder convict Samuel Porte to life imprisonment for killing his wife.

On September 3, 2023, Convict Porte chopped and killed his wife, Sarah Morris, with a cutlass after she cooked cassava leaf for the evening meal, though the husband had persistently told her not to cook cassava leaf soup.

Convict Porte was earlier found guilty by jurors during the trial.

A Probation Report from the Justice Ministry has revealed that before killing his wife; Samuel Porte had committed multiple offenses but escaped justice several times.

The report also revealed that Convict Porte also chopped a man only identified as Blackie for sitting near his wife, and raped several girls, including his sister-in-law but absconded with impunity.
