Deputy Inspector General of the Liberia Nat’l Police Designate Promises Effective, Discipline Force

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy Inspector General for Administration Designate of the Liberia National Police has promised an effective and disciplined police force if confirmed by the Liberian Senate.

Mr. William Mulbah said he will work along with his colleagues and Police Inspector General (IG), Gregory Coleman, to make the LNP a people-centered Force.

At his confirmation hearing yesterday, February 20, 2024, at the Liberian Senate, Mr. Mulbah also noted that the welfare of personnel of the LNP will be a major priority.

He said:” I will work with the IG to crave for more budgetary allocation, aimed at improving the salaries of officers of the LNP.”

The Deputy IG for Administration Designate also assured of a better working environment for personnel of the police force.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Police Inspector General for Training and Manpower Development Designate, Sadatu Reeves, has vowed to make the institution second to none in West Africa.

Madam Reeves believes that this can be achieved by reintroducing rigorous training and refresher workshops for police officers to put them on par with their counterparts in the Sub-region.

She, however, promised to introduce programs and policies that will revamp the police and support the reform efforts of the Liberian Government.

Making the commitment at the Liberian Senate on Tuesday at her confirmation hearing, Madam Reeves then called for non-partisan police in the discharge of their duties.
