Supreme Court of Liberia Sentences Notorious Land Dealer…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Supreme Court of Liberia has sentenced a notorious land dealer, Johnny Hill, to five years imprisonment at the Monrovia Central Prison.

In the Court’s ruling on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, convict Hill criminally sold land to complainant Jimmy Dasaw and threatened to kill him for his property.

According to the Court, the Penal Code classifies criminal conveyance of land as Second Degree Felony and is required to restitute double the gain he acquired due to his criminal action.

The ruling also ordered the convict to restitute one thousand US Dollars.

Convict Johnny Hill is the first convict for Criminal Conveyance since the passage of the law in 2014.
