Visually Impaired to Benefit from Rice Milling Facility in Lofa County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A ground groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a rice milling facility for visually impaired people has taken place in Lofa County.

The visually impaired group that is benefiting from the rice milling facility construction is the Blind Association of Lofa County.

According to ELBC Lofa County Correspondent, the construction work is being implemented by the Progressive Youth for Community Safety Initiative, with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Our Correspondent also said NAYMOTE is facilitating the construction of the rice milling facility under the banner: “Delivering Peace Dividend through Social Economic Empowerment.”

He said the facility will be used to generate funding for the Association members and is expected to be completed within four months.
