Senator Snowe Urges Incoming Liberian Gov. to Retain Current Liberia Broadcasting System Director General

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Bomi County Senator Edwin Snowe is urging the incoming Government of President-elect Joseph Boakai to retain the current Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS).

Senator Snowe said:” The current Management of LBS, Headed by Estelle Liberty-Kemoh, has massively transformed the system.”

He said:” The LBS Management has also improved the System’s infrastructure, while at the same time, providing quality broadcasting to the citizenry.”

Senator Snowe said the commissioning of two State-of-the-Art radio stations, Metro FM and LBS Language Radio, as well as the refurbishment of the LNTV and ELBC 99.9 studios, are monumental achievements of the current LBS Management.

Senator Edwin Snowe was speaking on Monday, December 8, 2024, when the Management of the Liberia Broadcasting System dedicated the first-ever National Language Radio Station in Liberia.

Meanwhile, Internews-Liberia has reassured the Management of LBS of its commitment to providing training for employees of the State Broadcaster.

Internews is a US-based media development Non-Governmental Organization that is currently implementing USAID media activities in Liberia.

The Project Senior Advisor, Jefferson Massah, said:” Internews-Liberia, as a partner to the State Broadcaster, will continue driving programs to enhance the capacity of employees of LBS.”

Mr. Massah said the move will enhance the knowledge of employees, especially reporters.
