Nat’l Road Fund of Liberia Condemns Protest…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Road Fund of Liberia has condemned Tuesday’s protest at its offices in Monrovia by some former contractors and unidentified individuals.

According to the National Road Fund, the protest was carefully orchestrated and politically motivated with the aim of disrupting normal office activities.

A release from the National Road Fund is quoted as saying the action by the former contractors is legally baseless as their services expired, contrary to claims that they were terminated.

The National Road Fund said following the expiration of the contracts, it issued appropriate notices to affected contractors by the law and specific stipulations of the contracts.

Meanwhile, the Senior Management Team has reaffirmed its dedication to the effective administration of the National Road Fund, and assured of its unwavering commitment to the rule of law and excellence in all operational aspects.
