JNB Inaugural Committee Prepares for Successful Transitional Ceremony

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Inaugural Committee for President-elect, Joseph Boakai, has spoken of progressive preparations to ensure a successful transitional ceremony on January 22, next year.

The Head of the Committee, Madam Miatta Fahnbulleh, said:” The Committee is working vigorously to ensure a fruitful inauguration, amid some challenges.”

Madam Fahnbulleh was speaking on Thursday, December 28, 2023, on the ELBC Super Morning Show radio program.

She said the Committee has more volunteers but lacks the logistics to dispose of garbage collected from various communities in Monrovia and its immediate environs, to Cheesman-burg landfill in rural Montserrado County.

The JNB Inaugural Committee Head is also calling on Liberians to join the effort to keep their environments clean before and after the inauguration.

At the same time, the Committee Head wants President-elect, Joseph Boakai, to prioritize the fight against corruption and injustices under his administration.

Madam Fahnbulleh warned against the culture of impunity, urging the incoming Boakai-led Administration to curb impunity to ensure accountability and transparency in state governance.

She also believes that the move will help put Liberia on par with other countries in the sub-region.

The JNB Inaugural Committee Head also expressed confidence that President-elect, Joseph Boakai, will cherish the trust reposed in him by the Liberian people.
