MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) and its partners have agreed to conduct the second independent fisheries stock assessment in Liberia, shortly.

It followed the conclusion of recent talks between NaFAA and the Moroccan delegation in Monrovia.

According to a release issued recently, the Moroccan Delegation recommitted Morocco’s preparedness to assist Liberia in the conduct of the second scientific fish stock assessment.

In remarks, NaFAA Director General, Emma Glassco, expressed The Liberian Government’s delight over the partnership between the two countries for the development of the Fisheries Sector.

The release is quoted as saying the first fish stock assessment was conducted by a Guinea research vessel known as “ Lansanah Conteh” in August 2023, with technical assistance from the Governments of Guinea and Senegal.
