Mining Authorities Shut Down Two Mining Sites in Grand Kru County

GRAND KRU COUNTY, LIBERIA- Two mining sites have been shut down in Grand Kru County due to the lack of operating licenses.

The two areas affected are said to be in Grandcess and Picnicess.

According to our Correspondent, the two sites were closed down by mining officials from Grand Kru, Maryland, and River Gee Counties.

Local officials of the Ministry of Mines and Energy have accused the management of operating illegally and defrauding the Liberian Government of thousands of Dollars.
