Grand Gedeh County Senator Calls for Investigation …

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Grand Gedeh County Senator, Zoe Penue, is calling on the Justice Ministry to investigate the recent violence in Zwedru.

Recently, some aggrieved citizens destroyed several properties, including offices of the Traditional Council and houses belonging to Senator Penue following the death of Representative Erol Madison Gwion.

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, December 11, 2023, on Capitol Hill, Senator Penue described the protestors’ actions as mere envy and jealousy.

The Grand Gedeh County Senator also denied his involvement in the death of Representative Gwion, amid accusing fingers being pointed at him.

He, however, consoled the bereaved family and the people of Grand Gedeh County for the Death of Representative Erol Madison Gwion.
