Criminal Court ‘A’ Summons Police Inspector Sudue…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court “A” has summoned Police Inspector General, Patrick Sudue, to appear in court today, Thursday, November 30, in connection with the ongoing murder trial involving former Chief Justice and three others.

Col. Sudue’s appearance followed an application filed by Defense Lawyers in the case.

The Court wants the Police Chief Inspector to provide accounts of their client’s two separate complaints in 2022 and 2023, respectively, to the police about reported intruders in her compound before the February 22 murder incident.

According to ELBC Judicial Reporter, the Defense Lawyers’ application is seeking to dispel all the accounts contained in the indictment allegation of murder in favor of their client.

At the same time, the Supreme Court has re-affirmed the ruling of the Hearing Officer of Maryland County and the National Elections Commission (NEC) Board of Commissioners, confirming Austin Taylor as the winner of District 3, Maryland County in the just-ended elections.

Maryland County District Three Lawmaker, Isaac Roland, filed a complaint on October 13 before the Electoral Magistrate of Maryland County and a candidate for the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) raised a single act of irregularity by NEC staff stationed at the polling centers.

He said his poll watchers were asked out of six vote-counting facilities, thus depriving them of access to the vote-counting process at those centers and the right to participate.

Therefore, Representative Roland requested that there be a recount at the six centers named.

However, the Supreme Court has ruled Representative Isaac Roland failed to produce any witness other than himself to show or verify his allegation.
