MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Joint Canadian and African Civil Society Electoral Mission has termed as peaceful and professional, the conduct of the just-ended Presidential Run-Off Election.

At a press conference on Thursday, November 16, 2023, the group Coordinator, Agbemelo Semeho-Eric, said:” The National Elections Commission (NEC), political parties, and the security forces demonstrated a high level of professionalism during the run-off election.”

Mr. Eric hailed it as credible, and sincere, and the run-off election in line with international standards.

The Mission, however, advanced several recommendations aimed at strengthening the capacities of the NEC staff and improving civic voter education among the Liberian population.

Mr. Agbemelo Semeho-Eric also encouraged political parties and candidates to ensure dialogue as the surest way to maintain a climate of confidence in the electoral body.
