ECOWAS Observer Mission in Liberia Urges Nat’l Elections Commission to Promptly Release Official of Presidential Run-Off Election…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-ECOWAS Observer Mission in Liberia wants the National Elections Commission to release the official results of the Presidential Run-Off Election.

The Head of the Mission, Professor Attahiru Jega, said:” The fast-tracking of results will consolidate the democratic gains made in conducting the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Election.”

Pro. Jega urged the two contesting parties, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and Unity Party (UP) to maintain the peace and stability of the country as enshrined in the Farmington Declaration.

He further urged candidates, political alliances and supporters to be committed to national unity and peace.

Pro. Attahiru Jega spoke on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at a press conference in Monrovia, when ECOWAS Election Observers released a preliminary report on the November 14 Presidential Run-Off Election.
