Pres. Weah Orders Full-Scale Investigation…

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has ordered a full-scale investigation into the Foya electoral violence.

President Weah mandated relevant Government ministries and agencies to investigate the incident and bring suspected perpetrators to justice.

Speaking at a political rally in Tappita over the weekend, the Liberian Leader called on Liberians to continue to protect the country’s peace during and after the electoral process.

Last week partisans and supporters of rival political parties were involved in electoral violence in Foya District, Lofa County, which resulted in the death of two persons.

The Liberian Chief Executive then rallied the people of Tappita in Nimba County to support his re-election bid.

He re-electing the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Government is a guarantee for sustainable development across the county and the rest of the country.

President Weah also assured the people of Tappita of his Government’s commitment to developing the country and making it the pride of the region.

The Liberian leader further urged the people of Nimba County not to listen to the opposition who continue to spread lies about the government across the county.

He promised to continue his free tuition and the payment of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination fee policy, alongside sustained road infrastructure development.
