Gov.of Liberia to Provide Scholarships to…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia is said to be working out plans to provide scholarships to students with the highest marks in this year’s WASSCE.

Students Desire Saygarn, Priscilla Cooper, and Landford Zayzay topped the National Exams as best performers.

Speaking in an ELBC interview on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Education Minister Ansu Sonii assured the students of the Government’s commitment to providing scholarships for undergrad studies.

Minister Sonii told ELBC Education at the Midweek program that the Government will fully sponsor the students at any university of their choice.

The Liberian Education Minister is, however, encouraging the students to remain robust in pursuing their careers to help the Government transform the country.

Minister Ansu Sonii is at the same time urging all twelve graders to be focused on their lessons.

Meanwhile, the top performing students in this year’s WASSCE have extolled the Government, especially the Education Ministry, for the pledge to provide them scholarships.

They also praised their school administrators for teaching them the requisite education materials.

The students described the move by the Government of Liberia as a milestone achievement towards empowering Liberia students to achieve their potential.
