Pres. Weah Reassures of Commitment to Improve Social Wellbeing of Liberians

MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has reassured Liberians of his continued improving the social well-being of Liberians.

President Weah said:” I remain undeterred to continue with my development agenda amid constant disinformation against me from detractors from the opposition community.”

The Liberian Leader, however, dispelled rumors in some quarters that he had conspired against someone to be killed.

The President also described the allegation against him as calculated plans from opposition politicians who have no tangibles to convince the people to vote for them to state power.

The Liberian Chief Executive spoke on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in Kakata, Margibi County, in continuation of his nationwide campaign trails ahead of the 2023 October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

Meanwhile, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Campaign Manager has cautioned the people of Margibi County to pull more support for President Weah in the upcoming elections.

Mr. Eugene Nagbe said:” While it’s true that you voted for the President in 2017, you must generate more votes in the October 10 Elections.”

Mr. Nagbe also called on Margibi citizens not to give credence to detractors who are only bent on discrediting the gains made by the Liberian Leader.

The CDC Campaign Manager added that those wanting to regain state power did not do well for the people of Liberia during their twelve years of state power.

Mr. Nagbe added that the development initiatives carried on by the President during his first term have qualified him for overwhelming votes during the first ballot.

At the same time, marketers of Margibi County have described President Weah’s Administration as a new era for the business community.

The President of the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) Margibi Chapter, Elizabeth Kokulo, said the construction of several market structures, and the provision of loans has boosted trade and commerce in the area.

She is, meanwhile, rallying citizens’ support for the second term bid of President George Weah.
