Nat’l Legislature Opens Book of Condolence for Late Hans Barchue

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives of the 54th National Legislature will open the Book of Condolence for fallen Lawmaker, Hans Barchue, of Grand Bassa County on Monday, August 14.

According to a release, the exercise will commence in the Rotunda of the Capitol.

It is expected to begin with President Weah, Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, Speaker Bhofal Chambers, members of the House of Representatives, the Pro-Temp and members of the Liberian Senate, Chief Justice, and Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of Liberia.

The release is quoted as saying the Protocol Division of the House of Representatives, in conjunction with the family of the late Representative, has released ceremonials marking the homegoing of the former Deputy Speaker and Representative of Grand Bassa County Electoral District One.

Meanwhile, the remains of the fallen lawmaker will be removed from the Samuel Stryker Funeral Parlors on August 17, 2023, and taken to the Capitol to lie in State at 11 O’clock ante meridian.

The former Deputy Speaker died recently in India, following a brief illness.
