State Prosecutors File Motion for Change of Venue in Murder Case…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-State Prosecutors in the murder case involving former Chief Justice Gloria Scott and three others have filed a motion to Criminal Court-A for change of venue ahead of legal proceedings.

The petition, if granted, will be transferred to another jurisdiction outside of Montserrado County.

In a fourteen-count petition, Government Lawyers, among other things, alleged that during the pre-trial at three different times, the named defendants appeared on the grounds of the Temple of Justice with a group of people with mixed reactions.

They alleged that people have been overwhelmed, singing and chanting slogans with the anxiety of desperation seen in the courtyard discussing the case, awaiting the outcomes of the proceedings.
