Transport Ministry Suspends Vehicle Inspection Exercise, but…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Transport has temporarily suspended the vehicle inspection exercise to ensure flexibility in the movement of people ahead of the October 10 Elections.

The Head of Communication at the Ministry, Lemuel Kleeme, said:” The Ministry has already informed the Liberia National Police (LNP) about the decision.”

Mr. Kleeme told ELBC Super Morning Show on Monday, July 24, 2023, that anyone caught undermining the Ministry’s decision will be punished under the law.

He said:” The Ministry still expects vehicle operators and drivers to register their vehicles to avoid future embarrassment.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Lemuel Kleeme disclosed that the Transport Ministry has reduced vehicle registration across the country.
