Criminal Court “A” Denies Motion to Bail by Former Chief Justice Musu-Scott’s Legal Team

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court “A” has denied the Motion to Bail filed by the legal team of former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu-Scott.

But the Court has granted the Motion for Discovery also filed by the Defense Team of Cllr. Musu-Scott.

During the proceeding, the prosecution argued murder being a capital offense, should not be bailable.

But, in counter, Defense Counsel, argued that once an indictment has been served, the trial has commenced, saying the Liberian Government has already adjudged them guilty, citing Article 21(f) of the 1986 Constitution.

Meanwhile, Defense took an appeal to the promotion to admit to bail that was denied.
