Farming Groups Receive Farming Implements to Boost Production

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Twenty five farming groups in Nimba County have received farming implements to boost production in the area.

The donation was made by the Ministry of Agriculture and partners, the World Bank, Smallholder Agriculture Transformation and Agribusiness Revitalization Project, Star-P.

The farming implements include cutlasses, hoes, rain booths, pesticides, and fertilizers, among others.

The Team Head, Steve Marvey, said:” The mission is to identify five thousand acres of low land in rural communities for the 2023 farming season.”

Mr. Steve Marvey said:” The program is targeting more than eighty thousand farmers who will be used to grow rice in large quantity to reduce food insecurity.”
