Liberia Business Association Secures Loan for Members…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Business Association (LIBA) says it has secured loan opportunities from the United Bank of Africa (UBA) and the World Bank for its members and Liberian businesses.

The President of the LIBA, James Strother, said:” The UBA loan is now available and wants LIBA members to take advantage of it to improve their businesses”.

Mr. Strother underscored that the loan has a two-year duration and borrowers will take twenty-four months to pay.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in Paynesville City, the LIBA President also disclosed that the institution has acquired both a loan and grant from the World Bank amounting to forty million US Dollars.

The LIBA President, James Strother, said that the grant component of the World Bank initiative is directed to agriculture, with many farmers across the country benefiting for several months now.
