Scores of Margibi County Citizens Petition Former Minister of State McGill

MARGIBI COUNTY-Scores of citizens of Margibi County have petitioned former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, to contest the senatorial seat of the County.

The petitioners include students, registered first-time voters, At-Risk Youth, marketers, motorcyclists, and the disabled, among others.

The citizens were drawn from the five electoral districts of Margibi County.

Reading the petition statement on Saturday, May 6, 2023, in Duazon, student Seidu Keita said:” Our decision is owing to Mr. McGill’s support to education in the County”.

Student Keita also noted that the Margibi County Senatorial Aspirant continues to initiate development programs in the County for the benefit of all Margibians.

Meanwhile, Mr. McGill accepted the petition and thanked the citizens for their farsightedness.

He promised to continue his good work in making Margi County a better place for the citizens.

The Margibi County Senatorial Aspirant, however, urged Margibians to avoid tribal politics and elect individuals who are passionate about transforming the County and Country as a whole.

Mr. McGill then urged the gathering to support the re-election bid of President George Weah, describing President Weah as a true leader and a beacon of hope for the nation and its people.
