Local Authorities in Grand Cape Mount County Appeal for Assistance…..

GRAND CAPE MOUNT COUNTY, LIBERIA-Local authorities in Grand Cape Mount County are appealing to the Disaster Management Agency, and other humanitarian organizations to assist recent storm victims in the County.

Robertsport City Mayor, Edwin Koha, wants the swift intervention of relevant agencies, describing the situation as unfortunate and serious, especially as the rainy season intensifies.

According to ELBC Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent, the storm destroyed two-hundred homes, including the public high school since Friday, May 5, 2023.

Students of the damaged public school risk being forced to migrate to other learning facilities, if the school is not urgently reconstructed or renovated by the Liberian Government.
