Political Parties Expected to Sign Non-Violence Pact Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Latest report reaching ELBC says political parties are expected to sign Non-Violence Elections Document later today.

The Document is intended to hold political parties accountable for the commission of orchestrated act of violence during the electoral processes.

The gathering organized by the National Elections Commission (NEC) is expected to take place at the Farmington Hotel in Lower Margibi County.

The Document, among other things, shall serve as a caveat to all political parties, including would-be candidates in the October 10 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

Wide-spread reports of pre-election violence have been recorded in recent months prior and during the Biometric Voters Registration.
