Gov. Launches Postal Financial Services Project

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, has officially launched the Postal Financial Services Project in the Country.

The project is intended to contribute to the National Budget by generating additional revenue for Government.

Delivering a special statement during the launch of the program, Posts and Telecommunication Minister Cooper Kruah expressed the hope that the project will contribute more than a million dollar to national development.

The project was launched in partnership with an international digital service, Transxnd Limited.

The project was launched in partnership with an international digital service, Transxnd Limited.

For his part, Transxnd CEO, Olalekan Lawal, said: “The launch of the Postal Financial Services will enable Liberians access potential financial services such as saving account, loans and International Money transfers.”

He said the project will be available through the network of twenty two postal services around the County.

He added that his company’s partnership with the Government of Liberia is a significant step towards the vision of becoming a world class postal financial technology solution provider, to give out essential services to the people of Liberia.

He added that the project will help to promote development in Liberia.

This partnership with the Government of Liberia is just one of many that Transxnd aims to establish across Africa and beyond.

The event was attended by key stakeholders from both Transxnd and the Government of Liberia.
