Grand Gedeh County Reports Increase in Measles Cases

GRAND GEDEH COUNTY, LIBERIA-Health Authorities in Grand Gedeh County are reporting an increase in measles cases in the County.

The County Surveillance Health Officer, Sylvester Toe, said:” Those showing signs of the disease have already been isolated.”

He said at the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital alone, more than six suspected cases have been reported, with one confirmed.

Meanwhile, the County Surveillance Officer is asking parents to make use of health facilities, whenever their children show symptoms of the measles virus.

Mr. Toe said:” Early detection and treatment are crucial to curbing the creeping health challenge.”
