Health Minister Pays Tribute to Health Workers

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Health Minister, Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah, has paid tribute to health workers for their crucial role in helping the Liberian Government achieve Universal Health Coverage.

Minister Jallah said through the support of Community Health Workers, maternal mortality rate and malaria prevalence among children have significantly reduced.

Dr. Jallah was speaking on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the ongoing Third International Community Health Workers Symposium taking place at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.

She urged community health workers to continue being the frontline fighters in curbing health emergencies to build resilience.

This year’s International Community Health Workers Symposium is being held under the theme:” Advancing Community Health Workers Program to Build Resilient and Equitable Health Systems the Accelerate Primary Health Care for Universal Health Coverage.
