Supreme Court Announces Immediate Rebranding of the Judiciary

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Sie-A-Nyene Youh, has announced the immediate rebranding of the Judiciary to regain the integrity of the legal profession.

Chief Justice Youh said:” The Judiciary, especially the courts, have not performed satisfactorily and subjected the Judiciary to distrust and public ridicule over the years.”

She said:” The rebranding of the Judiciary seeks to create a positive image and perception, and to engender greater public trust and dependability in the Judicial System.”

Chief Justice Youh spoke recently at the opening of the March Term of the Supreme Court of Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Judiciary is expected to embark on a massive public awareness of its functions, by using various communication methods and tools to ensure that the Liberian people and other nationals residing within the Republic are fully educated on its workings.
