Nat’l Elections Commission Begins Week-Long Workshop for Political Parties…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) will on today, Monday, begin a week-long workshop for political parties.

The workshop is intended to review existing legal and political provisions within the NEC and political parties.

According to a recent release issued, the gathering is being organized by the NEC Gender Section to create more responsive political parties in Liberia under the Inter-Party Consultative Committee Framework.

It will be held under the theme: “Promoting Inclusive and Safe Environment for the Participation of Women in Elections”.

The workshop will also review political party’s internal structures, external documents, including code of conduct and the memorandum of understanding, among others.
