MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Koijee, has officially written the Ministry of Justice, complaining the former Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Chairman, Cllr. Jerome Verdier, for repeated defamatory attacks on his reputation.

Recently, Cllr. Verdier, via a local talk show, accused Mayor Koijee of being one of the masterminds in the recent armed attack on the home of former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu Scott.

But Mayor Koijee denied any involvement and assured that his lawyers at home and abroad are working out modalities to pursue lawsuit against Cllr. Verdier.

Mayor Koijee said:” Repeated acts of spiteful statements against my person are unacceptable and I want relevant authorities take seize of the matter.”
