Huge Consignment of Rice to Arrive in Liberia Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A huge consignment of rice, totaling one-thousand-five-hundred metric tons, will arrive in Liberia today, Friday.

According to a release issued recently, the rice will be monetized under the Japanese Grant Commodity Program to support the Liberian Government’s social economic development projects.

The rice will be sold at Fouta Corporation in collaboration with the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA).

In October 2021, the Governments of Liberia and Japan signed an agreement for two-hundred-fifty-thousand Japanese Yen for the provision of rice titled, KR Food Aid 2021.
