KAKATA, MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Kakata, Margibi County, are investigating a twenty-nine year old woman for allegedly attempting to sell her seven-year-old step son.

Patience PAYE, a residence of Johnsonville, Montserrado County, was arrested in Kakata after she attempted selling her boyfriend’s son identified as Jacob Kamara for fifteen-thousand United States Dollars.

Suspect Paye told police that she decided to sell the little boy to recoup some of her ten-thousand US Dollars the boy’s father has lavished over two years of the their relationship.

Kakata based Classic FM quotes Patience Paye as saying she invested ten-thousand USD after the boy’s father, Morris Kamara, had promised to marry her.

She, however, claimed that after her business collapsed, Morris continues showing no interest in the relationship, thus prompting her action.
