Nat’l Patriotic Party suspends four partisans…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended, for time indefinite, four of its partisans for what the Party terms as violation of Section 2.5 of its by-laws and constitution.

The suspended persons are Roland Duo, Joe Touah, Smart Johnson and Francis Menwon.

An NPP release issued on Thursday, March 17, 2022, said the decision is based on irresponsible statement made by the suspended partisans, which have the tendency to create chaos and bring the party into public disrepute.

Earlier this week, NPP Partisan Roland Duo, backed by other members, appointed an interim leadership of the Party and urged the Party’s Standard Bearer, Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, to enhance the appointment.

The NPP release condemned the appointment and apologized to its constituent political parties within the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) for the embarrassment.

The NPP said the four partisans will remain suspended pending investigation by the Grievance and Ethics Committee, and revision of their status at the Part’s Seventh Biennial Convention.
