MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chief of Patron of Sports, President George Weah, has officially declared the 2021 /2022 National County Meet opened.

The ceremony took place on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Kakata, Margibi County.

President Weah, in his opening statement, urged participating counties to use this year’s County Meet to bring about peace and unity among Liberians.

The Chief Patron of Sports said:” The County meet is intended to bring Liberians together, not just to play sports, but also connect from diverse backgrounds.”

President Weah wants the organizers of the tournament, including referees, to ensure that Liberians be happy at the end of the tourney.

The first game of this Year’s County Meet was played between Margibi and Grand Bassa Counties. Grand Bassa County won by two goals to nil
